Gjestedesigner hos Scrappiness

Guest Designer Scraps & Pieces - art journal watercolors

Hi again peeps!

 Some time ago I was asked if I would be Guest Designer at Scraps & Pieces
 An honor to be asked and of course I said yes!!
For April it was this stunning mood board and the theme was watercolor.

I had no proplem working with that, really fun challenge.
 As this shop/blog is from Greece I wanted to do a Greek art journal, so this page is dedicated to Crete, "a tribute to Platanias" where we stayed for one week last summer.

I used a stencil to help me with the houses, also draw some of the houses myself.
 Greece is all about white houses (at least that's the image we see from all the travel brochures and photos) , blue doors/windows etc and I tried to get that look on my art journal.

I gessoed my page first, since I planned to use a lot of water.
Next I used my precious Golden QoR watercolors to make the background.
I used a stencil by The Crafter's Workshop for the houses and outlined the houses with my Stabilo all "magic" pencil.
Added Golden titanium white acrylic paint on the houses and the Golden QoR in the windows/doors.
