I have been playing with this kit for several projcets and two of them ready to show you today:
First, a layout of myself again, almost vintage but a bit "Rustic" (as the name of the kit)

Last month I was published in a Norwegian scrapbooking-magazing, Et Trykk.
Had lots of pages showing several of my work, layouts, canvases, cards and journals.
Will be showing some of it a bit later.
Anyhow, I had to take a picture of the magazine with the photo of me and of course, had to scrap that as well!

The next one I'm showing is a couple of mixed media cards.
Our yougest daughter is playing soccer and her coaches will get a small gift after season and I was asked to make some cards for them.

Maybe hard to see, but I actually used the papers by Kaisercraft Basecoat as a base here, but they are inked and misted a lot. Also added some texture with molding paste and stamps.

Art Journal page - DT Art Anthology

Hi again folks!
I'm back with a new art journal with lots of yummy Art Anthology products.

This journal pages are rather personal, that's why the journaling is quite difficult to read. I know what I wrote, that's the most important thing for me.

I started the pages with some gesso and used Colorations in several layers (Waimea bay and Glorious), added some water, used some stencils and more colorations. (Sangria, Waimea bay and Glorious)

When it was all dry I stamped with Velvet (Lagoon) all around the pages.

When dry, I added a lot of background stamps, some tissue paper and medium.
Also used some inkpads with stencils random places.

Outlining the lady stamp (by Dina Wakley) I used a pencil (Stabilo All), water and white acrylic paint. All around the pages I used my beloved black Gelato.

Be happy - DT Scraps of Darkness

Hi there! Back again with a layout featuring the August kit "Rustic" from Scraps of Darkness. Look at all the gorgeous stuff included in this kit:

My layout is based on the sketch by Laura, included in the kit as well:

So here is my Layout, with our youngest daughter on Norwegian Constitution Day - 17th of May. Our flag is red/white/blue so I wanted to use some of those colors (well.. not blue this time). Used some Gesso with the awsome stencil included in the kit and also some white Dylusions ink random places on the page.

The voice of the century - DT 7Dots Studio

Today I want to show a layout made for 7Dots Studio. Love the fantastic Domestic Goddess-series and perfect for the layout I'm showing today!

This lady, Kirsten Flagstad, was a famous opera singer.
She ranks among the greatest singers of the 20th century, and many opera critics called her “the voice of the century.”

She was born in Hamar in her grandparent’s home. Though she never actually lived in Hamar, she always considered it her home town.
There is a small museum here in Hamar as well, showing her life.

This photo is from a calender I had on my wall, for July this year.
I just loved the photo and wanted to make a project with it.

I wanted to make it a bit romantic but full of life, to honor this fantastic soprano so I used a lot of medium together with laces, stencils, stamps, mists and embellishments.

7Dots Studio products used:
Domestic Goddess pattern paper: “spice and suger” and White apron”
Domestic Goddess tags
Domestic Goddess stickers 6×12 and 12×12
Domestic Goddess alpha stickers
Wonderland alpha stickers
Domestic Goddess Collage – Fashionista

Perfect - DT Scraps of Darkness

Hi again! I'm back with another layout featuring Scraps of Darkness and the July kit - "Gypsy Summer"

Loved the kit with yummy papers from Graphic45 and My Mind's Eye.

Here is a photo from our first day on Mallorca in June, at the pool, not a cloud to see.... just PERFECT!!

I've used different papers and tags from Graphic45 Bohemian ,
Gelato tropical and also some Tim Holtz rubons from a previous kit by Scraps of Darkness.
The black "stripes" are black Gesso and I have dripped some white acrylic paint by Golden some random places.
Never a layout without some stamps and stencils LOL

Memories - DT Art Anthology

Hi there, hope you all are having a good time!
Now holiday season is over for my part, back to work and lots of work!
But I always find some time for scrapping, it might not be finished the same day, but that's OK, especially when I use a lot of medium.
Like the layout I want to show you today featuring Art Anthology
. Packed with different medium, colorations, velvet, sorbet.

I also want to show you how my layout started out.
Everytime I make a layout I plan to do a "step-by-step", but most of the time I forget to photograph every detail.
Like this one.
Well, it started with a plain white bazzill. (you probably won't see the white in the end LOL) Some modelling paste and stencil:

Some coloration mist, in two different pink IMG_2150

Some more colorations, now turquoise, and also a brown together with a stencilIMG_2151

Here is the point that creativity took over and I totally forgot to photograph, so the rest of the photos are the finished project.

Some details of course

I used Sorbet in the color Viridian on the chipboards:

The photo on this layout is my Grandfather and Grandmother, long time ago. When I saw the challenge on Once Upon a Sketch I knew I had to use this photo!
Sadly they are both dead, miss them so much both of them.
Have so many good memories from holidays at their little farm, just outside my hometown.
My Grandfather had several bee-hives and were very clever with his hands. He even knitted!!
In his youth he went to USA and worked with tractors and other agricultural machines before he settled down with my Grandmother at their small farm.
The last 15 years of his live my Grandmother took care of both him and the farm as he mainly was in bed, sick with astma and other problems with his lungs. She was a fantastic woman as well!
As you probably understand, I miss them so much but have tons of happy memories.

My journaling is on the right side and also at the bottom right part of the layout.
