Decorated box - DT 7Dots Studio

Here is another project featuring 7Dots Studio.

This time I used an empty box, previously filled with journaling cards.

First I used some of the papers from Wonderland collection, inside and outside the box.

Then I made a panel with the wonderful Wavy Ocean pattern paper from 9th Wave Collection.
I just love that paper!

Made some tags with some left-overs from the above collections.

And maybe I'll put some candy in the box as well and use as a small gift for a friend.

I also used some gorgeous chipboard by UmWowStudio on the box:

Cala Millor - DT 7Dots Studio

Today is my day at 7Dots Studio and I want to show you the layout I created first.

I have wanted to make something with this photo for so long and when the papers in 9th Wave collection came I just knew exatly what to do with it!

My daughter showed me how to take panorama photos with my Iphone when we were in Cala Millor, Mallorca this summer (ehhh….my daughters are 15 and 12 LOL)
And I really loved how this particular photo turned out, love the colors of the sea and the pier.

And the photo was so perfect for this paper, with the same color tones!

Built up a bacground with cheese cloth, gesso, stamps, medium, stencils and mists.
I also used the gorgeous chipboard by UmWowStudio, with a layer of Inka Gold in different colors.

Who's next? Art journal

New art journal created for Art Anthology.  A box with all the new colors, some new Gesso by Art Anthology is waiting for me, somewhere in a postman's car. It was tried delivered on friday, but normally I'm at work at that time. Tried to pick it up at the post office on saturday, but the box where not delivered there either.
So hopefully I'll get the box tomorrow, I'm so exited about the new colors and the Gesso!!!

This page is about the Norwegian Election some weeks ago, "who's next" sitting in the chair for the next period?


I always have some of my journals laying on my desk, ready to be used to mop up some colors, mists, paints etc when I’m working on different projects. That’s how nearly all my backgrounds are made. so here is one of those pages

And the final result: 

I have used Velvet: Basil, limeaid and Mardi Gras, Sorbet: black leather jacket and Colorations Sangria and Guacamole.
I used a resistant canvas chair and misted with the colorations (in the bottom right corner)

And the eyes are cut out of a magazine:

En LO laget i forbindelse med at jeg var gjestedesigner i Ett Trykk tidligere i år. Bildet er fra et besøk jeg hadde på Vårmarkedet i Vikingskipet. Var innom en stand som var så utrolig flott og spurte om å få lov til å ta litt bilder.

Here is a layout created for the Norwegian magazine Ett Trykk, published earlier this year. The photo is from a large indoor market here in Hamar, kind of a large flea market. One of the stands were so beautiful , filled with lots of old antiques and I asked if I could take some photos.


I tried to catch the harmonie I felt when I took the picture on this layout, using lots of findings, doilies and laces.

Art Journal - Fox

Well, I have to admit. It's not me finding that title for this art journal. It's the Norwegian duo - Ylvis.

The guys taking animal sounds to a level quite beyond imagination LOL

What does the fox say? Take a look at the video if you haven't yet, it's quite funny :D

Anyway, I didn't have that song in my mind playing with this journal. The background has been made over a long period, just mopping up some colors etc making other things.
I started to draw lines with the magic pencil Stabilo all and had a really good time, just drawing lines, turning out to be figures.
After seeing the video to the Ylvis brothers I kind of got a feeling that my page was filled with different animals and then the title came - "What does the fox say?"

Here is a layout made with the fabolous September kit "the black album" by Scraps of Darkness.

Finally a project that's not totally "black" LOL
Have to admit, I really loved this kit and you probably will see more from that kit from me later on.

This is my final official project as DT at Scraps of Darkness and I have had so much fun playing with the kits.
Melinda puts the most faboulous kits together for us!!

I love this photo!! And know for sure that this will be scrapped several times.

The setting, the feeling, just everything!
It was taken this summer when we were staying at a cabin down sout in Norway.

Our youngest daughter were playing at the pier, trying to cath some crabs.
Using prawns and mussels as bait.
Suddenly a cat came, probably felt the smell.
And the cat followed her wherever she went.

Card *DT Scraps of Darkness*

Here is another card , made for Scraps of Darkness and the gorgeous September kit - "the black album".

The kit was really cool to play with, with all that black and white!
Just look at that gorgeous trim by Webster's also included in the kit - love it!!

Finally got to play with my journal again.

Love my journals and the time playing with colors, background, stamps etc .
Makes me happy and relaxed.

Here is another layout featuring 7Dots Studio and Blue Fern Studios.

You probably know now that I love flowers and I also love to photograph them.

This photo is from the terrasse and is a chrysanthemum.
And the papers in the Messy Head collection were just perfect for those pink flowers and just perfect for the chipboard by Blue Fern Studios as well!

Lost and found - DT Poppydesign

Nytt innlegg  og prosjekt for Vibeke Spigseth - Poppydesign og denne gangen med en LO som nærmest kan sees på som vintage, i alle fall følte jeg det når jeg laget den.

Må bare fortelle litt om bildet, som er fra en bakgårdscafé her i Hamar, Tante Gerda.
Oppå svalgangen i den gamle bygården så henger disse gamle plaggene, undertøy etc , utrolig stemningsfullt! Verdt et besøk om du noen gang kommer til Hamar.

På denne LOen har jeg brukt flere av arkene du finner i den kjekke Paper Pad'n, tape og det herlige bakgrunnstempelet fra stempelplaten.


Har brukt litt gamle blonder, knapper og metall for å understreke "the vintage look"
