Chevy Love

Another fun layout - just for fun!

Some days ago we were out walking and we passed this beautiful Chevrolet in this awesome color - turquoise/teal.

Just had to stop and take some photos. And of course... such photos have to be scrapped LOL

Stamped some of the Julie Nutting girls by Prima on matte photopaper and colored her dress with Art Anthology spray inks - Studio Blue.
The background is clear gesso, Art Anthology Studio blue, some Silks acrylic glaze.
And some stencils of course.

Rubons by Tim Holtz.

Love - layout for SATW #14 & The Mixed Media monthly challenge

Hi folks! Today I'm sharing a layout, just made for fun!

When I saw the release of Scrap around the World challenge no 14

I fell in love with the mood board.
Yellow and black are so dramatic together and as I said, I love it!!

Just look at the mood board - isn't it just amazing?:

I would like to join the first challenge of The mixed media monthly challenge as well.

The challenge this month is "use spray inks & mists"

So here is my take on the two challenges.

I was as mentioned above, inspired by the yellow and black on several of the photos.

Also the word LOVE and all the flowers - because I love flowers!

Photos are taken near our lake Mjøsa, before it flooded.
We were walking on all the rocks and suddenly these gorgeous wild flowers came up - between all the rocks. Didn't see a single bit of dirt /soil. Strong plant!

I have used clear Gesso and Gesso regular+ Colorations spray by Art Anthology
Lots of stamps, mostly Tim Holtz
stencil by Prima
Different flowers and tape.
Chipboard by Dusty Attic
Tiny words are 7Dots Studio
Tissue paper by Tim Holtz

Altered wooden bird - DT Art Anthology

Hi all Art Antholgy fans!

Marianne here and today I have a special project to show you.
Way back, in 1974 I got this bird that my 10 year younger brother made at school. It's been laying in a box in the basement since I moved up to Hamar (21 years ago).
Some time ago I remembered this bird, found it and wanted to transform this rather "boring" (but good looking) bird to something more colorful.
With all these yummy paint from Art Anthology it was just a matter of time before my bird got another look.

Take a look at my blog post on Art Anthology blog, where you'll see some more detailed photos.

I have used a lot of different medium and paints on this.
Gesso
Sorbet: mint julep (love that color), coral, viridian
Velvet: lagoon, terracotta, tuxedo
Stone effect: lava
Metal effect: gold, copper
Colorations: salted caramel, studio blue (on the feathers)

Cards for Art Anthology with May Arts & Basically Bare

Welcome to the third day of the Art Anthology/Basically Bare/May Arts Ribbon Project Inspiration Blog Hop.
We’ve joined forces this week to offer you lots of inspiration using products from Art Anthology, Basically Bare, and May Arts Ribbon.
Marianne here, and today I'm sharing two cards, made with some of the fabolous products by Art Anthology and the awesome ribbons by Mary Arts.
On the first card I cut lots of ribbons and laces by May Arts and glued them with Gel Medium (also on top of the ribbons/laces) After dry, I sprayed with the yummy Colorations. The flowers are colored with Colorations as well and I used a brush some random places. Added some Stone effect - Lava, with a stencil

Art Anthology products used:
Colorations: Studio Blue, salted caramel, raider Stone effect: Lava Gesso

And here is my second card, much more simple than the first one.
I love making clean and simple cards, but always struggle.
I often feel that the cards are missing something, that it always should be more on it.

But as I said, I love making them, to challenge myself:
On this card, I cut the ribbon by May Arts in three pieces and glued the thin ones on top and bottom of the larger one (glued and stapled)
